Mont Ventoux

Mont Ventoux from Bedoin and return through Sault - 82 km  - Climb the giant of Provence - the 23 km uphill starting at 300 meters and culminating at 1900 meter altitude is legendary as the scene of one of the most gruelling climbs in the Tour de France. Several sections are above 9% and it never eases. The strongest racers will face it with fear and humility. Going down to Sault for lunch and returning by the Col ND des Abeilles will make it a grandiose ride, cool on the slopes on the morning, and hot in the afternoon. Smaller riders may want to try the easier route starting from Sault to the top and back the same way.
